Awww, I’m so sorry to hear that sweetie! But also, down to 360 from 800, that is phenomenal.. absolutely amazing, you should be so proud of yourself!! It sounds like you’re doing a great job of watching what you eat so far! Based upon limited info given (and I am not a specialist, this is just my two cents based upon what I’ve learned in school and so on – not saying I’m a professional by any means.. just want to put that out there haha) I would venture to say that you aren’t eating enough to ramp up your metabolism. Consulting a true dietician may be beneficial – I feel it would be inappropriate for me to give you a list of ideas and advice without truly knowing your whole health history and so on, so I think a dietician may be able to help more sufficiently. Next, in regards to your lymphedema, knees and shoulder – I would try to see a physical therapist. I have some friends that are PTs and they work on all of this and would be able to help you strengthen more effectively and help with reducing pain and increasing your function again! I do know that simply starting with low level cardio – even on a recumbent bike, or a reclined bike can be extremely beneficial to weight loss, lymphedema management and reducing overall pain. Everyone thinks that you always have to do everything at a high intensity to lose weight and so on, but the secret is that you don’t.. simple steady state cardio staying between 50-70% of your max heart rate will put you in a zone to burn fat. I don’t know you, but I’m proud of your work so far.. weight loss is no small endeavor.. regardless of that, simply talking about it online is still a huge step in itself.
